PTA Inpatient Rehabilitation

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will provide skilled rehabilitation services on the inpatient rehabilitation unit, supporting patient recovery and functional improvement. The role includes collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other rehabilitation staff. The PTA may occasionally float to the medical-surgical unit as needed. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays occasionally, ensuring consistent patient care throughout the week. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in delivering rehabilitation treatments and exercises to inpatients.
• Support patient mobility, strength, and functional independence through therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehabilitation team members including PTs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
• Occasionally float to the medical-surgical unit to provide therapy support as required.
• Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled to maintain continuous patient care.
• Adhere to facility policies including dress code by wearing designated red scrubs or khaki pants with red polo.

• Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in inpatient rehabilitation or related clinical setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt interventions to patient needs.

• Experience or comfort working in medical-surgical settings.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation protocols and patient safety standards.
• Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.

• Occasional weekend and holiday work required during contract periods.
• Option to take a weekday off if working a Saturday shift.
• Therapy staff dress code includes red scrubs or khaki pants with a red polo shirt.

• Work scheduled every day with occasional weekend and holiday shifts.
• Flexibility to adjust weekday off days when working weekend shifts.
