Job Description:

Seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of one year of oncology experience preferred. Prior experience in an inpatient setting is strongly preferred. Candidates must be licensed and registered as Nurse Practitioners in New York State, with the specialty area of certification aligning with practice requirements, or hold valid NYS licensure/registration or be NCCPA certified/eligible as a Physician Assistant. Possession or eligibility to apply for Medicare NPI number is required. CPR and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Successful passage of pre-employment health clearance is required.


Duties:

Collaborate with attending physicians to provide comprehensive health assessments and develop patient care plans. Document assessments, plans, and interventions accurately and timely in medical records. Educate patients and their families, utilizing prescriptive authority in collaboration with physicians. Perform the majority of patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.
