Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry I (Days)

What You'll Do:

As a Travel RN in Telemetry I, you'll provide high-quality, independent nursing care to cardiac patients, utilizing your expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, monitoring patient progress, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes. This role offers the chance to grow professionally, manage complex cases, and make a real difference in patients' lives.

Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license
• BLS certification from AHA
• ACLS certification from AHA
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and judgment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to handle complex patient needs with professionalism

Nice to Have Skills:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Experience with cardiac and telemetry patient populations
• Experience in a hospital setting with similar telemetry units
• Knowledge of current nursing standards and protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to work 7am-7pm shifts, every other weekend
• Ability to attend new nurse orientation within the first 30 days if newly hired
• Commitment to completing annual competencies and ongoing professional development
