Streetleaf specializes in bringing modern and renewable technology to communities through the often-overlooked feature of streetlights. We have over 14,000 lights in the state of Florida and are quickly expanding to fast growing markets across the sunbelt with installations in 11 states including Hawaii. We have quickly established the largest fleet of solar streetlights in the nation thanks to strategic partnerships with land developers, homebuilders, utility companies, and municipalities. We're changing the way people think about streetlights. We're offering a better way by using the best available software and hardware solutions to make renewable powered streetlights more reliable, efficient, and affordable than the old grid-tied alternative. The Role: We're looking for a dynamic Account Manager to drive our sales efforts and expand our utility customer base. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and a results-driven mindset. What you'll do Build and manage a national pipeline of utility accounts across investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, and municipal utilities — owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through purchase order. Develop and grow relationships with key decision-makers inside utility organizations: key accounts managers, operations and engineering leads, procurement officers, and energy services teams. Sell street and area lighting fixtures as well as turnkey lighting solutions, positioning Streetleaf as a long-term infrastructure partner rather than a transactional vendor. Work closely with IOU and co-op key accounts teams to get Streetleaf products specified into their standard offering catalogs and preferred vendor lists. Educate utility customers on energy savings, maintenance reduction, and lifecycle cost advantages, translating technical specs into a compelling financial case for their operations and ratepayer commitments. Coordinate with Streetleaf's internal project and engineering teams to scope and deliver turnkey solutions, ensuring a seamless handoff from sale to installation. Identify and track utility capital planning cycles, rate case proceedings, and energy efficiency program funding that create entry points for new business. Represent Streetleaf at industry events and associations relevant to the utility sector. Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity in CRM, with regular forecasting updates to leadership. What we're looking for 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with meaningful time selling into utilities, energy, or electrical infrastructure, familiarity with how IOUs, EMCs, and municipal utilities buy is essential. Existing relationships within utility key accounts, operations, or procurement functions are a strong differentiator. Understanding of how utilities evaluate capital equipment: rate recovery, depreciation schedules, energy savings verification, and co-op member economics. Experience selling both product (fixtures, hardware) and services (turnkey solutions, project delivery). Technical aptitude to understand and present product specifications, photometric data, and ROI models to engineering and operations audiences. Familiarity with utility procurement vehicles, co-op purchasing programs, and energy efficiency incentive structures. Self-directed with the ability to manage a geographically dispersed national account base; comfort with travel up to 40%. Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
