Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Assumption Catholic School is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Part-Time Cafeteria Worker to support the daily operation of the school lunch program. The Cafeteria Worker assists with food preparation, meal service, kitchen sanitation, and cleaning while helping provide a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining experience for students and staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of food items for baking, grilling, reheating, and serving.
• Prepare salads, fresh fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to established procedures.
• Serve meals to students and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining the serving line and steam tables.
• Clean steam tables, cookware, utensils, food preparation equipment, and kitchen work areas.
• Load, operate, and unload the commercial dishwasher.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in accordance with health department guidelines.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Supervisor.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous food service or cafeteria experience is required. Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent service.
