Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Physician Specialist in the Department of Surgery within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). As a full time physician specialist in the Department of Surgery, you will be expected to participate in all activities to the satisfaction of the Department Chair, and/or Division Chief. Incumbent will provide trauma surgery inpatient, outpatient, surgical and bedside patient care to all patients requiring these services. Provide call coverage to University Hospital and any other designated outside facility, as required. Provide surgical critical care, trauma and general surgery clinical services to University Hospital and any other designated outside facility, as required. Perform surgical critical care, trauma and general surgery consultations and any emergency surgeries when on call. Take trauma night call, trauma day call and round on the trauma service. Take emergency general surgery day and night call and round on emergency general surgery service. Provide day and night coverage for the ICU.
