Coordinates nursing care for patients according to established procedures. Essential Job Functions\ Records initial patient histories, collects assessment data, and prepares patients for scheduled procedures.\ Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.\ Demonstrates sensitivity to patients comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their care.\ Assists physicians with examination, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, including phlebotomy and injections.\ Responsible for accuracy of information recorded in patient medical records.\ Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with the hospital/clinic standards.\ Complies with all departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety environmental and infection control standards.\ Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy workspace free from clutter.\ Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment. Inspect area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and take corrective action when violations occur.\ Attend meetings as required.\ Enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.\ Performs other duties as assigned. ::: ::: Requirements ::: {title=""} ::: {contenteditable="false"} Current MA license/certification preferred.\ Current BLS certification required.\ Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.\ Must have or complete immunization training for the IRIS program.
