Overview College Tutor positions at El Rancho Unified School District (Various Sites), available for full‑time college students. Salary is $16.90 per hour, part time, 10‑month work year. Responsibilities Work with individual students or small groups to plan, organize, and implement instructional programs under teacher guidance. Assist in physical education, fine arts, vocational and industrial arts, and other areas to supplement instruction for students with specific needs. Conduct basic skill development and concept instruction. Administer pre/post placement tests and assist with daily program development. Record and monitor student progress, operate equipment, and utilize instructional materials. Build rapport with students and motivate learning through an understanding of physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development. Perform related duties as required by the teacher or district. Qualifications High school graduation or successful completion of a G.E.D. test. Registration as a full‑time college student (12 semester units or equivalent). Good English usage, spelling, and mathematics. Fluency in a second language desirable; some knowledge of specialized fields desirable. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with adults and students. Work with individuals and small groups. Follow oral and written directions. Recent paid or volunteer experience working with students desirable. Other Requirements Minimum age 18 years. Valid California Driver’s License; use of a car desired.
