The ideal candidate will assist in propagating house plants that will be sold at our center, contributing to our mission of sustainability and community enrichment.**RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:*** Assisting in the propagation of various house plants from cuttings, seeds, and other methods.* Monitoring and maintaining plant health, including watering, fertilizing, and pest management.* Preparing plants for sale, including potting, labeling, and pricing.* Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including the plant nursery.* Assisting customers with plant-related inquiries and providing excellent customer service.* Participating in educational workshops and events related to horticulture and plant care.* Collaborating with team members to ensure the success of plant propagation projects.**MUST POSSESS:*** Passion for the mission of The Bridge Teen Center* Basic knowledge of plant care and propagation techniques.* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.* Passion for plants and sustainable practices.* Previous experience in horticulture, gardening, or a related field.* Creativity in plant display and arrangement.* Familiarity with a variety of house plants and their specific care requirements.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including both writing and verbal.* Personal and professional integrity.* Clear and creative thinking.* Strong organizational skills.* The ability to lift more than 15 to 20 pounds.* A sense of humor.**SUCCESSFUL INTERNSHIP/PARTNERSHIP:**It is the desire of the Bridge Teen Center, through our internship program, for each intern to experience hands-on training in a career area of interest and develop practical leadership skills for the future.
