Candidates must have an interest in working with a diverse population of adults and children with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. The Medical Assistant provides direct care and behavioral health services. Assists with prescribers, clinical therapist, and telepsychiatry visits, as necessary, and helps coordinate client flow. This person is instrumental in assisting prescribers in clinical and insurance related areas.What You'll Do:Provides direct client care, documenting history, taking vital signs, chief complaint, clarification of current medication regimen, allergies, last visit, provider seen and documenting everything in the electronic medical recordProvides clerical support; answering phones, taking messages, assisting with client formsAssists in maintaining accurate electronic health recordsAssists clients and prescribers in preparation for visitsResponsible for scheduling telepsych program and coordinating with telepsych providersAssists in maintaining supply of behavioral health inventory and equipmentHelps clients to get access to available servicesAs needed, will room clients and conduct PHQ9 and GAD7, if appropriateMaintains working knowledge of insurance coverage specificationsWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or equivalentMedical Assistant or CNA CertificationPhlebotomy experience and/or certification preferredPrevious medical/clinical experienceKnowledge of medical chart reportingMust display excellent judgement, maturity and professionalism at all timesMust be mission-focused and motivated to help, and possess an excellent attitudeExcellent communication and customer service skills are requiredMust possess solid interpersonal skills and be an effective team playerClean, valid NYS driver's license and daily access to a car, etc., is requiredCompensation & Benefits:Salary: $16.48-$20.60/hour (based on education and experience)Medical, dental, and company-paid vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance, AD&D, and long-term disabilityOptional short-term disability and additional life/AD&D coverage401(k) with employer contributionGenerous PTO, sick time, and 10 paid holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramDiscounted pet insuranceEligibility for student loan forgiveness through programs like Public Service Loan ForgivenessWhy Join Endeavor?You'll be part of a mission-driven agency committed to supporting individuals during high-risk transitions and helping them build lasting stability in the community.
