Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Responsibilities The Senior Accountant will be a part of a global accounting team that is responsible for month end close, preparing monthly & quarterly financial statements, ensuring GL integrity, timely and accurate postings to appropriate accounts, chart of accounts maintenance and proper classification of assets and liabilities. Also responsible for Intercompany reconciliations and various other balance sheet reconciliations, as well as daily cash accounting/forecasting. Requirements You are: Trustworthy and honest, you are meticulous over your responsibility of overseeing and managing financial records by adhering to standard accounting practices and organizational policies. Along with your analytical thought mindset and strong attention to detail, you are also quite technically savvy. Your experienced excel skills coupled with the ability to manipulate data, make you the go‑to for efficient, accurate reporting and accounting. Desired Skills and Experience Perform month end close procedures, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations and analysis, bank reconciliations, research/resolve reconciling items Ensure GL integrity, timely and accurate postings to appropriate accounts, chart of accounts maintenance and proper classification of assets and liabilities Intercompany reconciliations Prepare monthly financial statements Research and resolve financial inquiries from management Analyze P&L statements Depreciation/fixed assets maintenance Prepare and present reports to management Assist with various audits Identify and implement ongoing process improvements Special projects and ad hoc reporting/analysis as assigned Experience with the following is a plus CPA or CPA track candidate Software industry experience preferred but not required Qualifications Only Atlanta based candidates will be considered Bachelor’s degree in accounting required Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data efficiently Analytical thinking skills with strong attention to detail Knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Persistence and creative thinking in problem solving Well organized, self‑motivated and able to work independently #J-18808-Ljbffr
