Job Description
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the electrical assembly, wiring, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of skid-mounted pump systems and related industrial equipment. This role focuses on building and supporting complex industrial pump systems, ensuring that all electrical work meets National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. The position works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing systems.
Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and install electrical components for skid-mounted pump systems and related industrial equipment.
• Install, terminate, and connect electrical devices, including motors, control panels, instrumentation, and associated wiring.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and control drawings to complete accurate installations.
• Test electrical systems and equipment to verify proper operation and performance against specifications and NEC requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on 480V 3-phase power systems, motor controls, VFDs, PLC I/O, and instrumentation during the manufacturing process.
• Identify root causes of electrical faults or performance issues and implement effective repairs or adjustments.
• Perform warranty replacement work on electrical components and systems as needed.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure systems are assembled safely, accurately, and in compliance with standards.
• Follow OSHA safety practices and site safety procedures while working on assemblies, repairs, service tasks, and HVAC-related electrical work.
• Support pump assembly and pump maintenance activities by ensuring all electrical connections and controls are correctly installed and functioning.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• Active State Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent where applicable).
• 5+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and control drawings.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting 480V 3-phase power systems.
• Experience working with motor controls and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Experience with PLC I/O and instrumentation in industrial environments.
• Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application to industrial installations.
• Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skills for complex industrial systems.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in a production environment.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to OSHA practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA safety awareness; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Experience with pump assembly and pump maintenance.
• History in assembly, repair, and service work for industrial equipment.
• Exposure to HVAC-related electrical systems.
• Ability to work optional overtime when needed.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial mechanical components.

Work Environment
This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility that is well-lit and housed in a modern building approximately two years old. The position operates on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering a consistent daytime work routine. Employees work around skid-mounted pump systems and industrial equipment in an organized production environment, with access to on-site wellness and gym facilities. The setting emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and comfort, supporting focused electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grafton, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
