Open Rank Pediatric Critical Care Physician

Position Title: Open Rank Pediatric Critical Care Physician Location: North Carolina, US Position Summary The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine is seeking a highly qualified and experienced pediatric critical care physician with expertise in pediatric critical care medicine and pediatric cardiac critical care medicine. The successful candidate will join a team of 16 faculty, 6 fellows, and 5 advanced practice providers as a fixed‑term faculty member. The physician will cover the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU), including nights and weekends, and will be committed to patient care, research, and education. A demonstrated commitment to quality improvement will be highly valued. Responsibilities Provide direct clinical care in the PICU and PCICU, including night and weekend coverage. Engage in patient care, research, and education. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the division. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and support the division’s mission to deliver world‑class, family‑centered care. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Board certified in Pediatrics. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Experience in pediatric critical care medicine, including moderate and deep sedation. Experience in pediatric cardiac intensive care is highly desirable. Experience with ECMO, burn, trauma, solid organ, and bone marrow transplantation programs is a plus.
