Work Environment

The position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from a location of your choice while ensuring that you have the necessary tools and support to thrive. Although the position is remote, you will be an integral part of our virtual team, working closely with colleagues, geriatric psychiatrists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care. You will have access to a robust telehealth platform that facilitates seamless client interactions and ensures adherence to privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the emotional, psychological, and social complexities faced by clients, particularly older adults.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans that consider factors such as cognitive impairments, physical health constraints, and social support systems.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including individual and family therapy sessions, to address clients' mental health conditions and enhance their coping strategies.
• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each client’s care, integrating input from multidisciplinary perspectives.
• Provide education to clients and their families about mental health conditions, intervention options, and community resources available to support their needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress in alignment with ethical standards and legal guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on older adults facing various mental health issues, which may include depression, anxiety, and the psychological impacts of chronic illness. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping these individuals navigate their unique experiences, fostering resilience, and developing effective coping mechanisms. You will also support families in understanding these issues, promoting a holistic approach to care.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on geriatric populations.
• A thorough understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods.
• Proven experience delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals and families of older adults.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• A strong ability to build rapport and trust with elderly clients and their family members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient settings or telehealth environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of community resources and support systems tailored to the elderly population.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package that includes:
