Groundskeeper I

Per CCR 249.3 this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.

Duties of the Academy Groundskeeper include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, trimming, pruning trees and shrubs, cleaning and repairing walkways, proper and safe use of tillers, chainsaws, and power trimmers. Cultivating, propagation, weed abatement, fertilizing, and manual labor associated with grounds maintenance; cleaning and maintenance of grounds-related equipment; and assisting in the set up and tear-down for the Academy special functions. Care of annual and perennial plants and flower beds, pots and other planted areas at the Academy.

Working Conditions
The employee will work both indoors and outdoors. While indoors, the temperature and humidity are reasonably controlled, however while outdoors, the employee is exposed to climate conditions.
