Leasing Consultant

Overview Job Title: Leasing Consultant Salary : $18.50 to $19 per hour Schedule : Monday-Friday | 8:30am-5:30pm Explore Treehouse Job Summary We’re looking for a leasing consultant who will coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. The leasing consultant interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Coordinate activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. Interact with prospective and current residents to provide excellent customer service and promote a quality living experience. Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork and processes. Ensure model apartments are in touring condition and orient residents to the property. Process renewal paperwork and deliver documentation to residents monthly. Maintain accurate records of traffic activity and follow up with prospects via phone, mail, or email. Convert phone traffic into scheduled tours and appointments. Inspect apartments prior to move-ins and coordinate move-in/out with the maintenance team. Create and maintain confidential resident files and review move-in paperwork with new residents. Complete weekly leasing reports and manage open/close procedures daily. Assist with resident relations, respond to requests promptly, and shop competitor properties. Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness and coordinate repairs with maintenance. Support management with clerical tasks and provide assistance with resident activities to increase retention. Comply with company policies, safety rules, and applicable laws; perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma is required. One year of previous sales experience is preferred. One year of residential leasing experience is preferred. Skills and Requirements Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar system preferred. Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and current auto insurance required.
