About You

The Project Manager, Enterprise Planning, will be responsible for the strategic management, maintenance, and evolution of Wakefern's FP&A tools. This role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), including TurboIntegrator (TI) process development, scripting, automation, and performance optimization. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction for the Planning Analytics platform, lead governance and innovation initiatives, develop a high-performing team, and build strong cross-functional partnerships to deliver impactful business solutions.

Core Functions:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage and enhance the Planning Analytics platform, including system integrations, performance monitoring, environment upgrades, automation, and the delivery of new development, system enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two FP&A analysts, providing direction, coaching, performance feedback, and growth opportunities to support both individual and team success.
• Establish team priorities, manage workloads, and ensure the timely delivery of Planning Analytics initiatives, support activities, and project commitments.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Membership teams to translate business requirements into scalable Planning Analytics solutions and process improvements.
• Support Enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and availability of financial data within the Planning Analytics environment.
• Provide leadership in stakeholder support, user training, documentation, and communication of system enhancements, project status, best practices, and recommendations to FP&A teams, Member organizations, and key stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain Planning Analytics governance standards, data management practices, and controls to ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of enterprise planning data.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage Planning Analytics, AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance business processes, reporting, and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), including system administration, TurboIntegrator (TI) process development, business rules, and scripting.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Experience managing enterprise planning applications and supporting multiple environments with a focus on system performance, data integrity, security, and governance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE), and financial reporting tools preferred.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong people management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams, delegate effectively, manage performance, and build a positive, high-performing work environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous process improvement and automation.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders while providing exceptional support to both Wakefern FP&A teams and Member organizations.
• Experience leading user training, developing documentation, and supporting change management initiatives related to planning and reporting processes.
• Experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot, AI, automation, or advanced analytics tools to improve financial planning, reporting, decision-making, and business processes.

Additional experience considered a plus

• MBA or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience within the retail, wholesale, grocery, distribution, or supply chain industries, with an understanding of the unique planning, merchandising, and operational drivers of these businesses.
• Prior experience leading technical resources, consultants, vendors, or cross-functional project teams in support of enterprise technology or finance initiatives.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• Availability to work a varied, flexible schedule to meet business demands
• Ability to monitor computer screens for long periods of time
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule as established by the division (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $100,000-$125,000 annually plus bonus. Placement in the salary depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
