Check Processing Associate (Onsite in St Petersburg)

Under limited supervision, performs a variety of operational and transactional activities supporting the firm's check processing function in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include handling incoming mail, opening and organizing check-related documents, preparing items for processing, scanning and indexing documents, and ensuring items are routed accurately and timely. Established procedures and general guidance are provided to perform routine tasks while maintaining quality, accuracy, and service standards.

The associate is expected to exercise sound judgment when identifying exceptions, researching discrepancies, and escalating issues as needed. Routine interaction with internal departments is required to obtain, clarify, and provide information related to check processing activities.

• Opening, sorting, organizing, and preparing incoming mail and check-related documents for processing.

• Scanning, indexing, and electronically routing documents to appropriate business units.

• Maintaining accuracy while working in a high-volume processing environment.

• Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries from internal and external clients.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years of administrative, operations, banking, accounting support, mailroom, document processing, or related experience preferred.
