Pediatric Epileptologist - Physician - San Antonio, TX Location: San Antonio, TX. Division: CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital – San Antonio. Work arrangement: full‑time, on‑site clinical duties. Overview CHRISTUS Children’s, a 240‑bed freestanding children’s hospital, works in partnership with Baylor College of Medicine to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers. The department seeks a pediatric epileptologist to contribute to an integrated team of neurologists and advanced practice providers. Division Summary The division comprises eight board‑certified pediatric neurologists, including three specialists in epileptology and three in neurodevelopmental disorders, and four full‑time advanced practice providers. Current programs include a six‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, neurodevelopmental services, ketogenic diet, neuromuscular disorders, neurogenetics, and a Pediatric Rehab/PM&R inpatient unit. Job Duties

• Provide outpatient clinic care and share inpatient rotations with call responsibilities.
• Educate trainees and contribute to clinical research, supported by the Voelcker Clinical Research Center.
• Participate in educational and research programs and represent the division within the community and nationally.
• Support and expand epilepsy programs, including potential involvement with epilepsy surgery and ketogenic diet.

Minimum Qualifications Medical degree (MD, DO, or MD/PhD) and board certification in Pediatric Neurology, Neurophysiology, or Epilepsy. Be or obtain a Texas medical license. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in epilepsy surgery or a strong willingness to learn is preferred.
