Accounting Clerk Location: Beaumont, TX Starting Pay: $16.00–$23.00 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time | In Person Join a Team That Keeps the Business Moving Iron Horse is looking for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team in Beaumont, Texas. This position supports our Cost Controller by helping manage the day-to-day accounting and purchasing processes that keep our operation running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with bookkeeping, accounts payable, purchasing support, or accounting clerk experience who enjoys working behind the scenes to help a business succeed. What You'll Do Process vendor invoices and accurately enter bills into QuickBooks Prepare weekly check runs and assist with vendor payments Create purchase orders and help manage the purchasing process Place recurring supply and inventory orders within established purchasing guidelines Assist with accounts receivable activities Route invoices through established approval workflows Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation Assist with inventory and purchasing documentation Complete administrative and accounting special projects as assigned Collaborate with the Cost Controller and other departments to ensure accounting information is accurate and timely What We\'re Looking For We\'re looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Self-motivated and able to work independently Dependable with excellent follow-through Comfortable managing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy Able to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines Professional when working with coworkers and vendors Willing to ask questions, learn new processes, and continuously improve Qualifications 3–5 years of bookkeeping, accounts payable, purchasing support, or accounting clerk experience preferred QuickBooks experience strongly preferred Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational and communication skills High school diploma or equivalent required College degree is not required Compensation Starting pay is based on experience and qualifications. Typical hiring ranges include: Entry Level: $16.00–$18.00/hour Experienced: $18.00–$20.00/hour Highly Experienced (5+ years): $20.00–$23.00/hour Why Iron Horse?
