Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will serve as a key technical accounting resource across a mid-to-large global business, supporting complex accounting matters, financial reporting, and internal control activities. This role requires deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS , along with hands-on experience researching and applying accounting guidance, supporting new standards, and partnering across global Finance and Accounting teams. The ideal candidate brings an active CPA, Big 4 experience, SAP expertise, and experience within a mid-to-large global organization . Responsibilities Lead technical accounting and financial reporting activities across a complex global organization. Research, interpret, and apply U.S. GAAP and IFRS guidance to complex accounting matters. Prepare and review technical accounting analyses, position papers, and supporting documentation. Support implementation of new accounting standards and changes in reporting requirements. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting processes. Oversee financial consolidations, account reconciliations, and complex reporting activities. Review financial results and accounting data to identify discrepancies, trends, and required adjustments.Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls , and financial reporting procedures. Support SOX compliance and related control documentation, testing, and remediation activities. Partner with global Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to resolve technical accounting and reporting matters. Leverage SAP and financial reporting tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility. Support reporting requirements across multiple entities, regions, or business units. Identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes. Provide technical accounting guidance to accounting team members and business partners. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Active U.S. CPA license required. Big 4 public accounting experience required. SAP experience required. 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience within public accounting and/or corporate accounting environments. Strong experience with technical accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting . Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS . Experience researching and implementing new accounting standards and technical guidance.Experience with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks . Experience supporting accounting and reporting within a mid-to-large global or multinational organization . Experience with financial consolidations, reconciliations, and complex reporting processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis skills. Manufacturing, industrial, or chemical industry experience preferred. Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
