Location: West Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; flexibility to float to other acute care units as needed

Highlights:

• 379-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
• 1:5-1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with an average daily census of 27 patients
• Epic electronic medical records system; 40 hours of orientation provided
• General medical-surgical and telemetry unit with expectation to float to six other acute care departments
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Free employee parking available on-site

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required (at least one prior contract)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in MS/Tele skills including telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insertion and management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, heparin and IV insulin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, feeding tube management, wound care, PCA pumps, and isolation precautions
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Ability to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
