Renewable Energy Litigation Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a renewable energy litigation associate for its Environmental Practice Group in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves engaging in complex litigation matters within the energy sector, providing regulatory counseling, and supporting transactional activities. Duties Engage in administrative and civil litigation related to energy law. Provide regulatory counseling and support transactional activities. Represent clients before the Kentucky Public Service Commission and the Kentucky Electrical Generation and Transmission Siting Board. Appeal adverse administrative decisions to Kentucky circuit courts and the Kentucky Court of Appeals. Conduct legal research and draft comprehensive legal documents. Requirements 2-6 years of experience in administrative/civil litigation and energy law. Experience with state or federal administrative law preferred. Strong passion for energy law. Excellent legal writing, research, and analysis skills. Superior written and oral communication skills. Willingness to support team members and pursue ongoing education. Superior academic credentials. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Kentucky. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
