General Manager

Overview A Sonic General Manager is the Captain of their own ship! You will lead a team toward goals that can be very professionally and financially rewarding for you! As a SONIC Drive-In General Manager, you will lead your team in an on-going effort to give our guests a Great Service Experience. You will be in charge of training and supporting drive-in employees, ensuring that food and service is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner to the most loyal fans in the industry! Responsibilities Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops Directs and assigns drive-in employees as needed to ensure operational standards are met Adheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practices Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties Prepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levels Monitors and maintains inventory levels; Places orders for food, paper and other supplies as needed Completes and maintains all drive-in employment related records and payroll records Reinforces a "customer first" culture and ensures all employees are focused on "Fast, Fresh, and Friendly" Resolves guest requests; Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and resolves guest complaints Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels Develops action plans to resolve unfavorable operational or financial trends Additional General Manager Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Studies in business, management or related fields are helpful Minimum of two (6) Months of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred) Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills The ability to work days, nights and week-ends (some holidays as well) Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC Benefits and Compensation Excellent benefits including vacation, insurance, retirement plan, and stock ownership.
