Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Strong cardiac telemetry background. Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Dysrhythmia exam is through UNA only with 2 max attempts; failure results in DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions. Pass/fail SIM lab on day one of orientation; failure results in being sent home and DNU for 6 months.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Cares for ED hold patients waiting for inpatient placement, primarily MS/Tele. Nurses care for more telemetry patients than medical patients. Requires titration of Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone drips. May help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration, but will not be the primary RN for an ED patient assignment. No monitor tech in the ED.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Must work 2 of 4 major holidays. Ability to self-schedule; this could change from time to time. No call required.

Floating Requirements: First to float to Med/Surg, Tele, and overflow units and to CRMC/MGMC EDs as needed.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
