Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across the pediatric to geriatric spectrum utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that tackle both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Work in conjunction with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families to encourage continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Take part in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's journey.
• Ensure proper documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
