Responsibilities

• Assess patients from pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate goals and extensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a range of professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to devise unified care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond organized clinical interactions.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments to ensure seamless patient care throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Keep meticulous and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and share insights with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
