Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference supporting students in an engaging educational environment as a school paraprofessional. This contract opportunity offers dedicated 1:1 support for a K-12 student, allowing you to build a strong professional connection and positively impact their success. Your commitment will be vital throughout the school year, with the assignment running from August to late May.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Paraprofessional PEL credential required
- Prior experience supporting students in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Patience, adaptability, and genuine interest in student development
- Must be reliable and able to maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Work onsite, providing direct 1:1 assistance to a K-12 student as part of an inclusive school team
- Support instructional and behavioral goals established by teachers and specialists
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and engaging learning environment
- Assist with classroom routines, assignments, and guided activities
- Adapt support strategies to meet student needs across academic, social, and behavioral domains
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to supervising staff
