# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Float Pool RN – Virginia

Schedule:

13-week assignment, 36 or 48 hours per week, days. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved; no time off requests can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.

Highlights:

- Float pool position rotating to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Medical-Surgical, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby- Patient ratios vary by unit: PICU 1:2, NICU/ICN 1:2 or 1:3, Acute Pediatrics 1:4 to 1:5, Pediatric ED variable based on patient acuity- Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility- State-of-the-art pediatric facility serving as a regional transfer center with advanced therapies including ECMO and hypothermia treatment- 60 hours of orientation provided- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and child life specialists

Requirements:

- Active Virginia RN license (pending acceptable; must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required- NICU experience required; must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients across multiple settings- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred- Epic EMR experience required- Certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS- Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required (may submit with pending; $185 cost)- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred- Previous charge experience preferred- BSN preferred- Travel nursing experience required- Nursys verification and professional references required with submission- Must adhere to facility float policy- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
