OPENING SOON! We are currently accepting applications with interviews beginning the week of Tuesday 9/8/26.  

In the middle of the Broadway action, Tacos El Terry is a high-energy, quick-service taqueria. We will focus on a simple, quality menu featuring 4–5 made-to-order tacos, chips, guacamole, and fresh salsas. Every taco is made-to-order and served on fresh handmade tortillas. Our beverage program will focus on the classics; margaritas, palomas, and ice-cold beer. We are seeking a foundational team of hospitality and culinary professionals to operate this high-volume and exciting Broadway location on Nashville’s most iconic street.

A Fast Casual Counter / Taquero accurately prepares, assembles and serves food ingredients and menu items according to prescribed recipes and portion controls while interacting with guests, offering them menu guidance and recommendations and accommodating their special requests.

Essential Functions

• Accurately prepare, assemble and serve food ingredients and menu items according to prescribed recipes and portion controls while interacting with guests, offering them menu guidance and recommendations and accommodating their special requests
• Set up and stock steam tables and food assembly and service areas with ingredients and tools in preparation for and throughout service, including without limitation by example washing, chopping, measuring, mixing, labeling, dating and organizing ingredients
• Set up and replenish workstations, food assembly areas and guest self-service areas with necessary ingredients, tools and supplies in preparation for and throughout service
• Monitor and maintain ingredients, supplies and menu item counts and par levels and communicate to management when quantities approach and/or fall below specified minimum quantities
• Package carryout and delivery orders and check for accuracy
• Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
• Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs
• Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
• Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy
• Understand and respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and menu
• Follow all steps of service
• Maintain food safety and quality standards
• Correctly and efficiently read a thermometer
• Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Assist with general cleanliness of the back of house and food assembly areas
• Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment including knives and steam tables
• Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
• Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
• Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
• Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
