Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Control Center Clerk to join our operational team in Minooka, IL. In this role, you will serve as a central communication and administrative hub, monitoring daily workflow, tracking inventory and shipment status, and ensuring smooth operational efficiency across the floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time warehouse or operational management systems (WMS) to track workflow, inbound/outbound movement, and inventory status
- Assign, dispatch, or coordinate work orders and tasks to floor staff to maintain balanced production flow
- Serve as the main point of contact between floor personnel, supervisors, and external drivers or carriers
- Input, update, and maintain accurate data within spreadsheets and administrative databases
- Generate daily, weekly, or shift-level status reports on system productivity, backlogs, and errors
- Identify and report system delays, inventory discrepancies, or operational bottlenecks to management
- Verify shipping/receiving documents, driver bills of lading (BOLs), and internal manifest paperwork
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Excel/Office or WMS systems
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities
