Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education, or eligibility to apply for a reciprocal license with active certification from another state.

• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
• Solid organizational abilities and a proactive, adaptable approach.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique strengths and challenges.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth.
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and advocacy for students.
• Maintain a positive, supportive classroom climate.
