Paint Technician

Paint TechnicianThe Paint Technician is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle components and assemblies to meet Vantage Mobility's quality, safety, and production standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by ensuring all painted surfaces are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company specifications.Essential FunctionsThe essential functions listed below represent the primary duties of the position. Duties may vary based on assignment and business needs.Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as requiredApply paint and coatings using appropriate tools and techniques to meet quality and finish standardsInspect finished work to ensure proper coverage, color match, and overall qualityMaintain paint equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe conditionFollow safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies related to paint materials and processesCollaborate with production team members to meet schedules and workflow requirementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceExperience working in a manufacturing, production, or professional paint environmentAbility to use paint equipment, tools, and materials safely and effectivelyRequired certifications or licenses: None requiredPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience painting vehicle components, mobility equipment, or similar productsFamiliarity with spray guns, paint booths, and coating processesExperience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniquesStrong attention to detail and quality standardsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to manage time effectively and meet production deadlinesPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periodsAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 poundsAbility to work safely around machinery, tools, and manufacturing equipmentWork EnvironmentWork is performed in an environment that may include exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, fumes, or varying temperatures, depending on the role.Safety-Sensitive PositionThis position is designated as safety-sensitive.
