Clinical Supervisor
$45 - $60 per hourMindify Wellness And Care
Join Mindify Wellness and Care Mindify Wellness and Care is a growing behavioral health organization committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and accessible mental health services to individuals and families throughout New Jersey.
We provide outpatient therapy and psychiatric services through a flexible care model that is primarily remote, with select in-person services and community-based partnerships with adult day care centers across NJ. As we continue to grow and scale, we are seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborative Clinical Supervisor to strengthen clinical quality, support therapist performance, and help build the systems needed for sustainable growth. This position may begin part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s availability and organizational needs. The role offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth, expanded responsibility, and future leadership as Mindify continues to develop its clinical programs and statewide presence. Position Overview
The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for Mindify’s therapist team. This person will help ensure that services are clinically sound, documentation is timely, staff is appropriately supported, schedules are optimized, and licensing and compliance requirements are consistently met. This is a hybrid position. Most responsibilities may be completed remotely; however, periodic onsite availability in New Jersey is required for orientation, training, department meetings, staff support, quality initiatives, and other operational or clinical needs. Key Responsibilities Clinical Supervision and Team Leadership
Conduct regular individual and group supervision in accordance with New Jersey licensing-board requirements and each clinician’s scope of practice.
Provide clinical consultation and leadership to independently licensed therapists.
Hold monthly clinical department meetings.
Coach therapists on clinical quality, documentation, productivity, professional development, and performance expectations.
Maintain accurate supervision agreements, logs, evaluations, and other required records.
Support risk assessment, crisis consultation, ethical decision-making, and appropriate escalation of clinical concerns.
Documentation Compliance
Monitor progress-note completion and treatment-plan deadlines.
Work toward the organizational goal of closing at least 98% of clinical notes within 48 hours of service.
Follow up on and escalate overdue or incomplete documentation.
Identify recurring documentation concerns and provide targeted coaching or corrective action.
Therapist Utilization
Monitor therapist productivity, caseload capacity, and schedule utilization.
Reduce unused appointment capacity and help therapists maintain appropriate caseloads.
Partner with scheduling and administrative staff to improve patient access.
Adjust schedules, templates, and coverage plans to support organizational utilization targets.
Quality Assurance
Complete monthly chart audits and document findings.
Ensure assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge documentation, and related records meet clinical, payer, legal, and organizational standards.
Address documentation deficiencies and monitor corrective action plans when needed.
Identify trends and recommend improvements to clinical workflows, policies, and training.
Compliance and Credentialing
Monitor therapist licenses, credentials, supervision eligibility, and renewal dates.
Ensure required training and competency requirements are completed within established timelines.
Promote compliance with company policies, professional ethics, payer requirements, HIPAA, and New Jersey clinical documentation standards.
Maintain readiness for internal reviews, payer audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Scheduling and Coverage
Ensure appropriate therapist coverage across programs and service locations.
Coordinate PTO, schedule changes, and coverage needs.
Minimize appointment cancellations caused by staffing gaps.
Collaborate with the operations team to respond to changes in patient demand.
Payroll Oversight
Review and approve therapist hours and payroll-related documentation.
Verify PTO, overtime, and fee-for-service payments, as applicable.
Resolve discrepancies and submit approvals on time with no preventable errors.
Recruitment and Onboarding
Review and screen qualified applicants.
Conduct clinical interviews and participate in hiring decisions.
Lead or support onboarding, orientation, and role-specific training.
Confirm that required competencies and trainings are completed within established timelines.
Help build a strong, accountable, and supportive clinical culture.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in social work.
Active, unrestricted New Jersey LCSW license in good standing.
At least three years of post-LCSW experience and completion of the New Jersey Board-required clinical-supervision education needed to supervise LSWs.
Qualification under current New Jersey rules to supervise LACs working toward LPC licensure, such as an Approved Clinical Supervisor credential or other Board-recognized equivalent, or the required graduate coursework in clinical supervision.
Current Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) credential from an ICRC member board if supervising alcohol and drug counselor interns or professionals working toward LCADC/CADC credentials.
Demonstrated ability to provide appropriate oversight or consultation, within legal scope, to a multidisciplinary team that may include LCSWs, LSWs, MSW-level staff or interns, LPCs, LACs, LCADCs, and other behavioral health professionals.
Clinical-supervision and behavioral-health leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Experience reviewing charts, addressing performance concerns, and maintaining supervision records.
Strong organization, communication, judgment, and follow-through.
Comfort working in a growing organization where workflows and responsibilities may evolve.
Ability to attend periodic onsite meetings, training, and operational activities in New Jersey.
Preferred Qualifications
Dual licensure or advanced credentials in professional counseling or alcohol and drug counseling.
Experience supervising both social work and counseling professionals.
Experience in outpatient mental health, telehealth, psychiatry, community-based care, or integrated behavioral health.
Familiarity with EHR systems, payer audits, credentialing, utilization management, and multi-site operations.
Experience recruiting, onboarding, and managing therapist performance.
Bilingual or multilingual ability and experience serving culturally diverse communities.
Schedule and Work Arrangement
Part-time or full-time opportunity.
Primarily remote, with periodic onsite work required in New Jersey.
Schedule flexibility is available, although the supervisor must remain accessible during agreed-upon operating hours and for urgent clinical consultation.
The role may expand in scope as the organization grows.
Compensation
Part-time: $45–$60 per hour
Full-time: $80,000–$100,000 per year
Final compensation will be based on schedule, supervisory credentials, dual licensure, experience, leadership responsibilities, and the number and type of clinicians supervised. Benefits and Growth
