Sr. AV and Events Platforms Administrator
Vertex Pharmaceuticals
Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a senior technical leader to administer and optimize enterprise collaboration, videoconferencing, and event technology platforms globally. The role combines platform administration, conference room infrastructure management, high-profile event support, and strategic technology evaluation for a hybrid workforce.
Responsibilities
- Administer enterprise collaboration, videoconferencing, and webcast platforms; manage configuration, licensing, security, and governance globally
- Own lifecycle and operational health of conference room systems, scheduling displays, AV hardware, and event-production tools
- Provide technical leadership for executive meetings, town halls, webcasts, and high-profile events; coordinate rehearsals and live support
- Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex incidents; proactively monitor platform health, call quality, and resolve issues
- Manage integrations across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and identity platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field; equivalent work experience considered
- 5+ years supporting enterprise AV, videoconferencing, Unified Communications, or collaboration technology
- Administration experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or comparable platforms
- Technical support for conference room systems and integrated AV hardware in distributed environments
- Experience delivering technical support for live, hybrid, virtual events, and webcasts
- Strong troubleshooting across audio, video, conferencing, streaming, hardware, and connectivity
