Trauma Program Nurse Manager

Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando is seeking an experienced Trauma Program Nurse Manager to join our growing team and help shape the future of pediatric trauma care in Central Florida. Position Overview The Trauma Program Nurse Manager is a registered nurse leader who organizes and oversees the services and systems essential to a multidisciplinary approach in caring for injured pediatric patients. Working in partnership with the Trauma Medical Director, this leader ensures the highest standards of care, compliance with state trauma system regulations, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Direct the planning, development, and daily operations of the pediatric trauma program Partner with the Trauma Medical Director to maintain compliance with Florida Department of Health standards Develop and manage the program’s operational budget Lead performance improvement initiatives focused on quality outcomes and patient safety Oversee trauma policies, protocols, and registry documentation Provide leadership for professional education and community outreach related to trauma services Participate in local, regional, and state trauma system activities Qualifications and Requirements Current RN license in the State of Florida Graduate of an accredited BSN program; Master’s degree required. Minimum of three years of emergency and trauma nursing experience; trauma system experience preferred Proven leadership and team-building skills Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities American Heart Association BLS required upon hire Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision – Four levels of medical coverage are available, including fertility care and prescription drugs for associates and their families.
