PCP/Endo Business Specialist - Edison, NJ

Overview The PCP/Endo Business Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to maximize net sales of BIPI and co-promoted diabetes products. The role aligns with directions from BIPI commercial leadership and BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives. Responsibilities include engaging key healthcare providers and community hospitals, and may extend to teaching hospitals, federal and military hospitals, managed health care facilities, group purchasing organizations, and integrated delivery networks. Compensation Data Base salary ranges and potential additional compensation: Base salary: $115,000 to $181,000 (PCP/Endo Business Specialist) Base salary: $140,000 to $222,000 (Executive PCP/Endo Business Specialist) Potential discretionary bonus, relocation allowance, and other compensation elements subject to performance and business needs. Compensation reviews are conducted regularly and may be adjusted based on market data. Benefits offerings are available and can be reviewed through company resources. Duties & Responsibilities Use product knowledge and sales skills to influence targeted health care professionals to support BIPI promoted diabetes products; execute brand strategies and ensure messaging is delivered appropriately. Establish and maintain effective communication, cooperation, and coordination with co‑promotion partners and BIPI employees. Prepare pre‑call plans to meet stakeholder needs, build discussions around customer needs, and foster a customer network. Conduct timely follow‑ups, develop trust with customers, and use BIPI Sales Training techniques to facilitate decision making. Coordinate engagement of healthcare providers through personal and non‑personal channels according to customer preferences. Identify top plans for customers and engage in discussions on the payer environment, co‑pay, and formulary access. Work with Managed Care Area Managers to support products on MCO formularies; develop and influence extended teams to sustain brand decisions. Deliver “continuation of care” models, including discharge protocols, treatment algorithms, and disease management strategies. Analyze qualitative and quantitative territory information to optimize territory business plans and customer calls. Monitor local market conditions for changes that impact business; develop plans to optimize resources such as samples, co‑pay cards, speaker program funds, and in‑office meal funds. Adjust implementation plans regularly, leverage opportunities that meet territory and brand tactics, and utilize analysis tools for activity planning and resource monitoring. Maintain accurate account and customer records; complete all administrative responsibilities and Sales Training requirements. Identify thought leaders, innovators, and advocates to support BIPI products; collaborate with trained speakers for diabetes topics. Provide feedback to speakers and attendees, initiate contacts, and build networks among advocates and customer groups. Develop and manage speaker programs and budgets within standards. Collaborate with customer‑facing roles (Account teams, Medical teams, etc.) to meet customer needs and achieve net sales objectives. Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards; perform all business in compliance with regulations and company policies; report violations promptly. Requirements (PCP/Endo Business Specialist) Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of successful sales and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, or equivalent customer engagement services. Experience in the diabetes therapeutic area preferred. History of successful performance and meeting key competencies required for this role. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications. Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight travel. Residency in the territory geography or willingness to relocate; exceptions may be granted by senior leadership. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; authorization to drive company leased or authorized rental vehicles. Physical demands include daily travel, multiple stops, stairs, bending, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs, and occasional overnight travel. Visual demands: compliance with state motor vehicle vision requirements. Temperaments required to work with diverse professional groups, manage stress, and navigate competitive access to physicians. Proficiency in learning complex material, passing product knowledge tests, and delivering compliant sales presentations. Attendance: at least 40 hours per week with flexible schedule for physician and speaker program coordination. Remote engagement proficiency using video conferencing platforms. Minimum 5 years of successful sales and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, or equivalent customer engagement services. Experience in the diabetes therapeutic area preferred. History of successful performance and meeting role competencies. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications. Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight travel. Residency in the territory geography or willingness to relocate; exceptions may be granted by senior leadership. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; authorization to drive company leased or authorized rental vehicles.
