Thefinancialreporting team is responsible for internal financial reporting, subsidiary reporting, SEC reporting and other regulatory reporting.The financial reporting team is a valued business partner providing information, analysis and advice to ad hoc initiatives.ThepositionreportstotheManager,Financial Reporting.Responsibilitiesinclude:Participatinginthepreparationanddistributionofmonthlyinternal financialstatementsParticipatinginpreparationandanalysisofcash flow statements for FirstEnergy and its subsidiary SEC registrantsParticipatinginthepreparation,documentationandanalysisoftheCompany'speriodicSECand regulatory reporting and disclosuresProvidingsupportandassistancetoexternalauditorsAssistingwiththedevelopmentofwrittenpolicies andproceduresoverthefinancial reporting processAssistingwithdevelopmentandmaintenanceoftheintegrity ofthefinancialreportingprocess and internal controls over financial reportingParticipatinginevaluationandimplementationofnewaccountingstandardsandfinancial reporting requirementsProvidingfinancialanalysis tomanagementforvariousadhocprojectsInterfacingwithandsupportvarious departmentswithintheorganization(legal, investor relations, treasury, etc.)Participating in various educational opportunities and attend various conferences to maintain knowledge of financial reporting requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor'sDegreeinAccountingorFinancerequired.
