About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead its mission of creating and sustaining the healthiest Indigenous community in the United States. The CMO will be responsible for providing clinical oversight and direction to all medical care within the hospital and health system, with a focus on patient-centered, integrated, and coordinated care that achieves population health outcomes. This role involves ensuring the quality and safety of care, as well as the patient experience, in all clinical settings. The CMO will also be a collaborative member of the executive team, involved in the strategic planning and goal-setting for the organization, and will act as the spokesperson for clinical issues. Applicants for the CMO position at the company must be a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.) with a valid, unrestricted medical license and DEA certification. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed physician, with at least 5 years in a supervisory and leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centric care, experience in quality improvement, and a background in working with Native American communities. The CMO will be expected to maintain licensure and certification, and to demonstrate strategic thinking, and planning, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
