Position Title: Sales Account Representative
Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing
Location: Cincinnati, OH

 

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, ranging from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal; innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents; to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsible for managing and growing relationships with select customers, developing new business, and supporting sales opportunities from initial contact through order fulfillment. 

The Sales Account Representative processes sales orders, payments, and related documentation while conducting sales outreach, developing assigned accounts, and maintaining accurate customer and sales information. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow sales opportunities. 

• Conduct outbound sales activity, prospect for new customers, qualify inbound leads, and maintain timely follow-up. 

• Manage and grow assigned accounts through customer outreach, reorder and quote follow-up, and identification of new opportunities. 

• Develop working knowledge of company products, applications, customers, and markets. 

• Maintain accurate customer, account, opportunity, and sales activity information in CRM and sales engagement systems. 

• Track and contribute to sales KPIs, including sales growth, new customers, leads/prospects, outbound activity, and customer response time. 

• Assist with customer requests and issue escalations as needed. 

• Review and enter customer purchase orders; coordinate lead times with Operations; and provide order acknowledgements to customers. 

• Maintain required order documentation and provide necessary information to Operations. 

• Process customer credit card payments and coordinate with Accounting as needed. 

• Prepare weekly open-order reports and other required sales reports. 

• Communicate relevant customer, market, and competitive information to the sales team. 

• Work cross-functionally to support customer needs and sales opportunities. 

• Support the Sales Manager and commercial team as needed. 

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

• 0–2 years of sales, customer-facing, account support, or business development experience preferred; internship or co-op experience considered. 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training preferred. 

• Comfortable conducting frequent outbound customer and prospect outreach. 

• Experience with, or ability to learn, CRM and sales engagement systems such as Salesforce and Outreach. 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 

• Strong time-management, organization, and attention to detail. 

• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills. 

• Self-motivated, curious, and consistent in following up on sales opportunities. 

• Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams. 

• Ability to work effectively through extended sales cycles, objections, and unsuccessful opportunities. 

• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements when required for access to controlled products or information.
