The Role We're currently seeking a Financial Service Representative to join our team at our St. Louis, MO location, working within our Financial Department. This role works closely with our team of financial counselors and interacts directly with patients, so we're looking for someone who brings both billing expertise and empathy to every conversation. What You'll Do Meet with patients following provider visits to review insurance coverage and out‑of‑pocket costs. Verify insurance benefits and eligibility online or by phone as needed. Clearly explain the cost of treatment based on medical recommendations, with empathy and professionalism. Maintain a positive, patient‑facing demeanor and deliver outstanding customer service. Collaborate closely with billing staff, physicians, and other departments. Demonstrate flexibility, compassion, and respect in all patient and team interactions. Accurately interpret and explain insurance benefits in plain language. Maintain attention to detail while handling sensitive financial information. Use sound judgment and decision‑making skills in complex or emotionally sensitive situations. What We're Looking For Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or billing role. Proficient in Excel and comfortable using various computer systems. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. This is a full‑time, hybrid role, combining remote work with time in our St. Louis, MO office. No weekends.
