As an Office Assistant 2, you'll play a vital role in keeping the Division's workflow efficient, accurate, and compliant with state procedures, helping our team deliver lending services that strengthen Alaska's economic future.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with basic accounting tasks and inventory tracking.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls while providing courteous, accurate information to the public and internal staff.
- Scan, file, and maintain loan documents, correspondence, and records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Ensure documents are properly labeled, organized, and stored in accordance with Division retention policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external visitors, prospective, past and present borrowers, board members.

Effective July 1, 2026 the wage for this position increased by 3%. The wage listed in this job posting reflects the increase.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or the equivalent. AND One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs. Substitution: Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equal one month of experience). Special Note: "High school diploma equivalent" means one of the following: 1) a G.E.D.; 2) completion of any basic adult education course equivalent to 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 course hours per week); 3) acceptance in full standing by an accredited college or university; 4) highest grade of school completed plus an amount of paid or volunteer experience that totals 12 years and includes basic clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs. Some positions in this class may require the incumbent to operate motor vehicles. Such positions require that the applicant possess a regular driver's license and be 18 years of age or older. Some position in this class may require skill in typing. Recruitment and selection may include this requirement.

- Three (3) most recent performance evaluations (if available) or three (3) professional letters of recommendation.
- Three (3) current professional references, two (2) of which have had supervisory responsibility over you, along with their current day-time phone numbers and email addresses.
- If using education for purposes to meet the minimum qualifications, please include your University Transcripts.
