Company Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive Company, is a leading provider of on‑site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers across the United States. Position Mobile Diesel Technician Level II Primary Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling, cooling systems, starters, alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, and transmissions. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems using handheld computers, pressure gauges, and other test instruments. Road‑test vehicles to diagnose and verify correct operation of repaired components. Maintain parts inventory and manage company‑issued service equipment, including periodic reconciliations. Document all work in Repair Orders (RO) and upload photographs using the TRAIT application on a company iOS device. Complete DOT forms and other required documentation in a timely manner. Operate company‑issued service vehicle, performing safety checks and pre/post‑trip inspections. Communicate effectively with clients, managers, and support teams via email or phone. Work independently, manage daily schedule, and prioritize tasks to meet standard repair times. Use hand tools, precision instruments, and diesel tools, including welding equipment and lifts. Perform all work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Requirements High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience. Candidates may also have a higher degree or 5 years’ experience. Possess a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties. Obtain

ASE T8 (PMI)

certification within 18 months. Pass DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with >4 months validity). Be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating authority regulations. Hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File. ASE 608/609 (Air Conditioning) Skills & Abilities Apply new information to problem‑solving and decision‑making. Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods. Communicate information succinctly and engage in effective two‑way communication. Determine appropriate tools and equipment for specific tasks. Assess spatial relationships accurately. Use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions. Compensation Hourly rate: $26.73 – $40.10 per hour, based on experience, location, and skill set. Additional compensation may include commissions and incentive programs.
