Position Summary

Command Security Services LP is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to serve as a key member of the Human Resources team. This role is responsible for supporting employee relations, California compliance, HR operations, recruiting, onboarding, HRIS administration, and process improvement initiatives. The Senior HR Generalist will play a critical role in completing and managing the company’s Rippling implementation while partnering closely with leadership to ensure a compliant, efficient, and employee-focused HR function.

This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources for Command Group and maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Chief Operating Officer of Command Security Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers across all shifts and departments.

• Manage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management issues, corrective actions, accommodations, and terminations.

• Ensure compliance with California employment laws and HR best practices, including wage-and-hour requirements, leave administration, and recordkeeping.

• Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA accommodations, and paid sick leave.

• Maintain personnel files, HR records, I-9 documentation, E-Verify compliance, and background screening processes.

• Lead day-to-day administration of the Rippling HRIS platform, including onboarding, employee data management, reporting, and workflow automation.

• Complete and optimize the company’s Rippling implementation, documenting processes and system configurations.

• Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, offer administration, and onboarding.

• Coordinate employee offboarding, exit interviews, final pay requirements, and system access removal.

• Develop, maintain, and improve HR policies, procedures, SOPs, and employee documentation.

• Partner with Operations, Payroll, and Finance teams to support workforce planning and payroll-related activities.

• Prepare HR metrics and reports related to headcount, turnover, compliance, and employee relations activity.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Five or more years of progressive HR experience with significant employee relations and compliance responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of California employment law, including wage-and-hour regulations, leave administration, and employee relations practices.

• Experience administering HRIS platforms; Rippling experience strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct workplace investigations and manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting a 24/7 operational or shift-based workforce.

• HRIS implementation or migration experience.

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or PHRca certification.

• Experience in security, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, or other highly regulated environments.

Work Environment

• Full-time onsite position based in Mountain View, California.

• Standard business hours with occasional availability outside of normal working hours for employee relations matters, investigations, or urgent business needs.

• Limited travel within California may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000- $125,000 annually
