Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

RN – Medical ICU

Schedule: 12H Rotating (Day/Night)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• AHA BLS certification
• AHA ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required prior to start)
• CCRN certification (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of unit experience
• Experience in a large, teaching facility
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years
• Must possess skills in IV initiation, management of multiple titrating drips, critical ventilatory care, and experience with multi-system disease, CRRT, IAPB, ECMO, COVID, and vents

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously and report changes
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

Compliance / Notes:

• Must be available to float to assigned areas as needed
• Availability for potential weekend shifts is required
• All prior employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended due to the lack of public transportation options
