Position Overview

Back On Track Orthopedic Center, located in Arlington, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a critical member of our rehabilitation facility, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients experiencing functional limitations and disabilities. This full-time position requires 40 scheduled hours per week, including variable weekends, as you implement effective treatment strategies aimed at patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive examinations and evaluations of new and existing patients to assess their functional limitations and needs.
• Developing personalized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, ensuring evidence-based practices are applied.
• Providing consultations to physicians and other healthcare providers regarding optimal patient care and continuum of services.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions, educating patients and their families on treatment strategies, and overseeing progress through regular re-evaluations.
• Maintaining precise documentation of patient treatments, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure collaborative patient care and to discuss patient progress and hurdles.
• Providing leadership support through community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training sessions.
• Supervising and mentoring assigned support staff, ensuring effective use of departmental resources while promoting a positive work culture.

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those managing chronic pain, and others with varied disabilities. Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in word processing and necessary computer applications.
• Ability to connect effectively with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds while adhering to customer service standards.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be viewed positively:

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, specifically working with orthopedic patients.
• Exposure to community programs or initiatives relating to physical therapy and patient outreach.

Compensation and Benefits
