Accounting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Specialist processes daily cash, credit card and bank reconciliations with adherence to the ELS cash process guidelines, controls and policies. This position leverages strong relationships with corporate and field staff to support month-end close processes within the accounting team.

Your job will include:

• Perform high-volume daily cash, credit card and bank reconciliations, research outstanding items and resolve issues with other departments as needed.
• Administer the upload of journal entries as needed.
• Adhere to guidelines and policies associated with cash and reconciliation processes.
• Identify and implement solutions with respect to the reconciliation process.
• Provide support and training for property staff with respect to receipts and cash reconciliations.

Experience & skills you need:

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Accounting or a related field, or a combination of education and two to three years of equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, communications, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and other relevant automated accounting systems and technologies.
• Knowledge of accounting, banking, reservations and reconciliations systems is preferred.

Estimated compensation for this position:

Annual Salary: $58,000 - $61,000 + Bonus
