Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support full-stack applications while applying sound software engineering practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Support cloud infrastructure and platform operations activities as required.
- Administer and support AWS environments and related cloud services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Work with DevOps technologies and contribute to automation and deployment processes.
- Support AWS EKS and Argo CD environments where applicable.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve software development productivity and quality.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to engineering decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of application development experience.
- 3+ years of full-stack application development experience.
- Strong software engineering and object-oriented programming experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6–10+ years of experience with Ruby or another object-oriented programming language.
- 2+ years of experience with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure or platform operations.
- Experience with AWS administration.
- Experience with DevOps technologies.
- Experience with AWS EKS and Argo CD.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
