As a school-based OT, your expertise will directly support students in achieving their academic and developmental goals. Collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to facilitate student growth and maximize functional independence.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in New Jersey
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Skilled in creating and implementing IEPs and related documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Flexible and proactive approach to addressing student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
• Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to educational settings
• Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of intervention, progress, and communication
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to IEP development and reviews
• Consult with teachers and staff to adapt classroom activities and support inclusion
• Engage families and caregivers, sharing strategies and progress updates
