Role Description The Front Desk Staff role is a full-time, on-site position located at Holiday Inn Express & Suites – Dubuque West in Dubuque, IA. This role is responsible for greeting guests, handling check-in and check-out procedures, and answering questions about hotel services and local attractions. Day-to-day tasks include managing reservations, processing payments, responding to phone and in-person inquiries, and resolving guest concerns in a professional and timely manner. The Front Desk Staff also coordinates with housekeeping and maintenance teams, maintains accurate records, and ensures the lobby and front desk area are presentable and welcoming at all times. This position requires consistent adherence to safety, security, and brand service standards. Qualifications Strong customer service skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and helpful experience for guests. Receptionist duties proficiency, including handling check-ins/check-outs, reservations, and basic administrative tasks. Professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills for managing guest calls and inquiries. Basic computer literacy, including use of hotel management systems, email, and standard office software. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required.
